Aesthetix, the industrial safety and telecommunication solutions leader, is pleased to be contributing its critical role in the NEOM Green Hydrogen Element, a global top-five renewable energy project in terms of size and scope. As a key technology partner to Air Products Saudi Arabia, Aesthetix is providing future-proofed communications and safety infrastructure that allows for the efficient and safe operation of this pioneering plant.
NEOM Green Hydrogen Company (NGHC), a subsidiary company of NEOM, ACWA Power, and Air Products, will supply 600 tonnes per day of green hydrogen with renewable wind and solar power. It will be based in the Oxagon district of NEOM and will manufacture the hydrogen as green ammonia for easy transportation, and the world's hydrogen economy will have Saudi Arabia at its center. Aesthetix is responsible for designing, engineering, installing, testing, and commissioning different mission-critical systems such as CCTV surveillance, Public Address & General Alarm (PAGA) systems, and emergency sirens, all of which are crucial in maintaining operational integrity and human safety.
The NEOM Green Hydrogen project is establishing a new global standard for the manufacture of decarbonized energy. Aesthetix is realizing this visionary capability through the implementation of converged technologies designed and developed to meet the needs of green hydrogen plant operations. Hydrogen is a highly flammable gas, and consequently, Aesthetix safety solutions include multiple levels of monitoring, early warning detection, and fail-safe operation.
Key systems are
CCTV Surveillance Systems: Weather-attentive, high-definition camera networks scan around-the-clock within production, storage, and distribution plants.
PAGA Systems: Used for communicating real-time operational notifications and alarm conditions, the systems provide a quick method of communication throughout the plant.
Emergency Sirens: Placed strategically throughout the plant, the sirens are absolutely needed for immediate mass alert during an emergency, allowing for immediate evacuation and response.
Along with hardware, Aesthetix also incorporates telecommunication backbones for remote monitoring and control. Advanced sensor networks that never stop monitoring performance parameters, ambient conditions, and safety parameters of the structure in real time. The approach of integration offers higher visibility, less exposure of personnel to risk areas, and ensures a better response in the event of an emergency.
The NEOM Green Hydrogen Element is not just an infrastructure component—it is a force of change in the energy transition. Aesthetix solutions are especially matched to the project value of resilience, intelligence, and sustainability.
The activities of the company cover the whole system development lifecycle:
Design & Engineering: Tailored safety and telecom architecture created in cooperation with hydrogen safety codes and NEOM's future-proofing needs.
Assembly & Testing: Rigorous in-house quality testing ensures all systems conform to international standards of reliability and performance.
On-Site Commissioning: Final installation and commissioning at Oxagon is performed by competent teams who can handle working in high-risk environments to ensure effortless integration.
These initiatives are towards the overall goal of reducing carbon by approximately 5 million metric tons annually. With the advancement of safe production and overseas export of green ammonia, Aesthetix's solutions assist in decarbonizing the heavy-duty transport and industrial space that has so far been dependent on fossil fuels.
