Aesthetix has completed and delivered all the telecommunications and security facilities for Nigeria's prime energy facility, the ANOH Gas Processing Plant. Placeholder processing firm, which owns and operates the terminal in Imo State (AGPC), is a Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC)-Seplat Energy joint venture and is a prime pillar for Nigeria to increase domestic gas supply and shift to cleaner energy sources.
The ANOH Gas Plant will treat 600 million standard cubic feet per day (mmscfd) of wet gas in two phases of development. It will, at the peak of production, deliver lean gas, Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG), and condensates, all of which are critical to the energy security of Nigeria, freeing the nation from fuel importation and providing an additional, more sustainable method of power generation beyond diesel-fueled power.
Smart Infrastructure for Mission-Critical Operations
Aesthetix was designated as a high-integrity infrastructure authority partner to engineer, design, assemble, test, and commission the mission-critical telecom and security systems in an effort to empower the plant to work around the clock.
Closed-Circuit Television (CCTV): Reliable video surveillance architecture that is designed to monitor the critical operational areas and perimeter security in real time.
Access Control Systems (ACS): Computer security systems that allow controlled access to high-risk areas and augment on-site security.
Public Address and General Alarm (PAGA): A Secure communication system for broadcasting announcements, operating instructions, and emergency evacuation exercises.
Pipeline Leak Detection System (PLDS): State-of-the-art monitoring equipment to detect leaks and reduce environmental damage.
Intrusion Detection System (IDS): A Perimeter security system computerized to identify unauthorized intrusions and forestall security compromise.
These combined solutions were designed for the harsh and high-reliability environment of a gas processing facility to provide resilience, uptime, and worldwide safety and environmental regulation compliance.
ANOH Gas Plant is a greenfield facility and a pioneer for seven giant gas projects that the Nigerian government has come to recognize as propelling its national energy policy. Phase One of the plant, with a throughput of 300 million standard cubic feet per day (mmscfd), comprises a number of major infrastructure items: gas processing trains, LPG recovery trains, compression trains, condensate stabilization, and export terminals.
The plant is a key driver of the country's domestic market with secure energy, lessening reliance on less efficient, carbon-spewing energy sources such as diesel generators. The plant also enables a quicker overall West African energy shift toward positioning Nigeria as an energy powerhouse in the region.
In keeping with Seplat Energy's local content development initiative, the project places special focus on the Nigerian workers' participation, capacity building, and contribution to the economy of the country. The plant will create direct and indirect jobs, drive the development of the local industry, and support the government's vision to develop an independent energy industry.
The ANOH plant is also described by its environmental awareness, with built-in protection and intervention to ensure negligible disturbance of the ecosystem and compliance with global sustainability procedures.
At Aesthetix, we are honored to be a facilitation partner to this landmark project by offering intelligent telecom and security solutions that not only meet today's needs but are also future-proofed for scalability. Our solutions are developed to be extremely reliable, mission-critical, tolerant, and easily integrated with other infrastructure systems.
This successful partnership with AGPC further solidified Aesthetix as a preferred technology partner for oil & gas infrastructure across Africa and the world. We look forward to being part of future transformational programs that build a safer, more connected, and more sustainable energy world.
